GOT AN INTERIOR PAINTING PROJECT PLANNED?

Painting is one of those DIY projects that all of us, at one time or another, engage in.  It's something that any of us can do.  Personally, I have done a lot of painting AND I have hired professionals.  While I consider myself a pretty skilled and careful painter, I would have to say that I was very impressed the last time I hired professionals.  What amazed me most was the effort put into PREPARATION.  Cleaning, hole filling, sanding, touch up and even more CLEANING.  I was shocked to observe that a day and a half into my painting project, a crew of 4 painters, working full time, had not opened a single can of paint!

This experience has slowed me down considerably in the painting that I have done since. I take the time to make sure surfaces are ready for easy and lasting paint application. The other thing that I have begun to do is read paint can labels and check into paint reviews online.  The attached article from This Old House provides a pretty good introduction to paint selection. If you'd like my recommendation for a professional painter, give me a call!
